The main functions of logistics are to manage the stock process, control the process of inventory and to transport freight from one place to the final destination. Logistics means the management ands control of inventory from one place to the final destination. The main aim of logistics team is to find out the best method so that the inventory process will complete by using less money. When the product is ready to use, then the company will note down the cycle time from manufacturing of the product to the final stage of use. The more the cycle time take by product, then less profit gain by that manufacturing company. However, by doing the inventory process according to a plan, it is possible to reduce the cycle time of product to some extent.

Most of the large companies hire a logistics team to take the goods from manufacturing company, to arrange freight trucking and finally transport the product to the final destination. Logistics team keeps monitoring the whole inventory process by using its database system. The other function of logistics team is to see that how much stock you require so that you will be able to supply the required quantity of product to your customers. The cost associate for keeping large stock is much than that of dispatching the products. So, always careful while storing the quantity of products.
